Sledding Fun

Last weekend we visited my mom and dad's house for some sledding fun. Well, I should say the boys had fun playing in the snow. I stayed inside where it was warm.

I know my place-and it doesn't involve cold weather.

The nice thing about my parent's place is that they have a loooong driveway past their house, which actually will go all the way to the woods. I think it's probably a good thing that the snow was too packed to go very far.

It's a long way down!

Not that the boys would have minded. Their favorite part of the sledding adventure? The fact that grandpa pulled them up the hill with a four wheeler.

They were beyond proud. They came inside tired, hungry, and grinning from ear to ear. I didn't get many pictures, but here are some that I thought I would post:

Going down...

and coming back up...(in style)

They were joined in the sledding adventure by some friends that have three girls.

Wait, why all these pictures of a four wheeler. I thought they went sledding??

Oh, Now I feel better. We do have some sledding pictures.

Thanks mom for having a warm meal for the cold, hungry sledders. The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

In fact, all week long they've been asking when they can go sledding at "pa-pa Mick's" again. I'm pretty sure that they really just want another four wheeler ride up the hill.

And honestly, who can blame them?

Dad, if you're reading this, I'm a little bitter that you made us walk ALL THE WAY UP THE HILL with our sleds (both ways) when we were kids.

I'm pretty sure that contributed to my bad attitude about winter and cold.

Man, I had a rough childhood.

Someday, I'll blog about my ONE AND ONLY barbie with ONE strand of hair. (That's for you mom). :)

I'm only kidding mom and dad. I'm sure all those experiences just helped to build character. Ahem.

Thanks for giving the boys a fun afternoon! Maybe next year I'll join them sledding...if I get a four wheeler ride up the hill.

And a barbie with a full head of hair.

Oh my - - - that's HIGH TECH sledding. Back in my day it involved pulling your own sled back UP the hill.

Looks like a lot of winter JOY was had by all, including the ones staying inside and warming their toes by a toasty fire.
